XtraMile is proud that Infinitum has selected XtraMile as its new learning platform.

Infinitum AS is a Norwegian limited company that owns and operates Norway’s deposit return scheme for beverage packaging made of aluminum, steel, and plastic. Infinitum’s ambition is for XtraMile to be used by all employees across the organization, both in administration and in production.

XtraMile spoke with Tom Normann, Head of HR, HSE, and Security at Infinitum.

A complete platform for training

“With XtraMile, we get a complete and holistic learning platform that will be used for training employees across the entire organization, both in administration and production,” says Normann.

In production, the platform will help ensure that employees understand applicable procedures and guidelines, as well as topics such as cybersecurity and digital awareness. With XtraMile, we can offer training to the entire organization, while also tailoring content to different roles and needs, he explains.

User-friendly interface and customizable design

Why did you choose XtraMile?

“First and foremost because of the user-friendly interface. It is intuitive, easy to use, and makes it simple to upload our own content and build full-fledged courses,” says Normann.

He also highlights the ability to adapt the content to Infinitum’s own brand identity:

“We can use our own colors, logo, and visual expression, so the courses feel like a natural part of our brand.”

Another important criterion was multilingual support:

“We are a multicultural organization with employees from many countries. With XtraMile’s multilingual features, we can be more confident that everyone truly understands the content. It’s not just about completing courses, but about ensuring real understanding.”

Combining internal and ready-made courses

Infinitum plans to produce its own courses based on internal expertise – particularly within industry-specific topics. At the same time, they will supplement these with ready-made courses from XtraMile, for example in IT security.

“There’s no need to build everything from scratch. When XtraMile already offers strong, general courses such as IT security, we can focus our time on what is unique to us,” Normann explains.

Tailored to all employees – wherever they are

Infinitum has a diverse organization with both administrative and production-oriented roles. XtraMile makes it possible to deliver training regardless of where employees are located – on PC or mobile – through short, focused lessons that drive high completion rates.

Ready for the next phase

Infinitum has already completed the first test phase of XtraMile.

“We’ve had very good dialogue and follow-up from XtraMile. Now we’re looking forward to rolling out the solution fully and continuing the development together,” Normann concludes.
