POB Entreprenør Chooses XtraMile – Investing in Digital Skills Development
POB Entreprenør has chosen XtraMile as its new learning platform. With this decision, the company takes an important step toward making training simpler, more efficient, and accessible to all employees – regardless of role, language, or workplace.
In this connection, XtraMile spoke with Stine Lind, HR Manager at POB Entreprenør AS.
“The world is changing rapidly, and we need to change even faster. The only way to do that is through competence,” says Stine Lind at POB Entreprenør.
“In the past, we relied heavily on manual training through Teams and classroom-based courses. In a busy production environment, it’s difficult to gather everyone at the same time. That’s why we wanted a platform that allows us to deliver the same training to everyone – when it suits each individual.”

A platform that saves time – and increases learning impact
A key requirement for POB was that the learning platform should be easy to use – both for administrators and employees.
“We wanted a solution that requires minimal administration and allows us to spend our time on what actually creates value: developing good, relevant courses. XtraMile was a perfect fit,” Lind explains.
The platform enables the company to create its own courses while also purchasing ready-made training modules in areas such as IT security, data protection, and the use of AI.
“It’s a major advantage that we don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Many of the topics we need are relevant to all companies. Being able to use ready-made content allows us to focus on the courses that are unique to us,” she says.
From onboarding to continuous development
In the first phase, XtraMile will be used for onboarding new employees, as well as courses in IT security, quality, and internal systems.
“We have everyone from production workers to project managers and engineers. The platform therefore needs to work for all levels and be simple enough for everyone to use, regardless of digital experience. We expect many employees in the field to use their mobile phones, while administration works via PC,” Lind explains.
XtraMile’s AI-supported course builder was also an important factor in the decision.
“The ability to generate course drafts from existing guidelines and documentation allows us to get started more quickly. At the same time, we can adapt and quality-assure everything internally. This gives us both speed and confidence.”
Norwegian supplier and local customer support
POB also highlights the value of working with a Norwegian supplier.
“It’s a great advantage to have a partner we can call directly, who understands Norwegian conditions and language. The fact that XtraMile offers Norwegian customer support and has an office in Oslo gives us confidence and accessibility,” Lind says.
A tool for the entire organization
For POB, the investment in XtraMile is about more than just digitalization – it’s about building a culture of learning.
“We want training to be a natural part of everyday work, not something that has to be squeezed into the calendar. With XtraMile, learning becomes easier, more flexible – and something everyone can take part in,” Lind concludes.
