Chemical Handling is an e-learning course that provides you with a practical introduction to the safe use of chemicals at aquaculture facilities. You’ll learn about different types of chemicals, proper storage and handling, as well as necessary precautions to prevent injuries and accidents. The course also covers relevant regulations and documentation requirements, so you can work safely and in compliance with applicable laws.
What does the course cover?
The course is divided into four chapters, covering the following topics:
- Legislation and regulations related to chemicals
- Introduction to safety data sheets and substance inventories
- Introduction to chemicals and their properties
- Proper use of personal protective equipment, storage, waste management, and first aid
What does the course look like?
Each chapter consists of several lessons, which provide you with detailed information and knowledge about each topic. The courses include text, images, videos, animations, and interactive exercises that provide an engaging learning experience. At the end of the course, you’ll take a final test.
