Read how NutraQ brought together onboarding, compliance and webinar training in XtraMile
NutraQ is an international company with operations in 15 markets, around 240 employees and over 450,000 active subscribers. The company is behind well-known brands such as VitaePro, Oslo Skin Lab and Vesterålens Omega-3.
With employees spread across multiple countries, functions and disciplines, NutraQ needed a structured and flexible way to conduct training. That's why the company uses XtraMile for onboarding, mandatory courses, compliance and webinars.
We had a chat with Vilde Aas Johansen, HR Business Partner at NutraQ, about how the company uses XtraMile in its training work.

Wanted a more modern learning platform
NutraQ wanted a solution that was intuitive, visually appealing and easy to work in. The possibilities for AI support in course production were also an important part of the assessment.
- "It was really the AI function that weighed most heavily. And ease of use, visually and look and feel for everyone," says Vilde.
Providing the right training to the right target group - across markets and departments
NutraQ was quick to move onboarding courses and mandatory training to XtraMile. In addition, the company has several compliance courses and courses that apply to specific roles, departments or functions.
For an international company with employees in several markets, it's important to be able to provide the right training to the right target group. Some courses apply to all employees, while others are tailored to, for example, HR, managers, commercial teams or customer service.
- "We have two or three courses that are mandatory for all departments, and then there are some courses that are mandatory for certain functions," says Vilde.
"Customer service is a good example of a department with its own needs. That's why NutraQ has created its own courses to suit their working day.
Make webinars a natural and structured part of training
One of the areas NutraQ has made particular use of is the webinar function in XtraMile. For an organization with employees across countriesand locations, webinars provide an efficient way to conduct live training - without everyone having to gather physically.
Among other things, NutraQ uses webinars for management training on topics such as conflict management and stress management. The webinars are set up in XtraMile in the same way as a course, with registration, calendar invitation and the opportunity to follow up participation.
- "The webinar function looks great. You can set it up as a course, in the same way as e-learning, only you get a link instead. It's really useful," says Vilde.
The company has also converted some courses from pure e-learning to webinars. This gives new employees the opportunity to participate in the next available session, while making the training more interactive.
- "It's a bit more interactive than an e-learning course. So it works well," says Vilde.
NutraQ has also used XtraMile to register physical courses. In this way, they get the courses into the calendar and can also document who has participated.
Easier course production and better follow-up for HR
For the HR team at NutraQ, XtraMile has made it easier to produce and manage training.
- " From an HR and administration perspective, it has made everyday life both easier and more enjoyable," says Vilde.
She also highlights the follow-up from XtraMile as a positive part of the collaboration.
For NutraQ, XtraMile has become a platform that brings together several important training needs: onboarding, mandatory courses, compliance, webinars and documentation of participation.
The webinar feature in particular has given NutraQ an easier way to conduct live training across locations and target groups.
- "It's very seamless and very uncomplicated. It's so intuitive that anyone could go in and create a webinar," says Vilde.
