What is Webinar?

Webinar

A webinar is a seminar or professional presentation delivered over the Internet. Participants follow the content from their own devices, often with the opportunity to ask questions or participate in polls. A webinar can be conducted live and, if desired, made available as a recording afterward.

Also known as: Online Seminar; Webinar

Live Broadcasts and Recordings

During a live broadcast, participants can ask questions as the session progresses and receive answers from an instructor. A recording makes the content available later, but does not provide the same level of interaction. Webinars can be standalone events or part of a learning path that includes courses, preparatory work, and practical assignments.

Example: Webinar

A company invites employees to a demonstration of a new work procedure. The instructor demonstrates the process, and participants ask questions about situations in their own departments. The recording is shared afterward, and employees try out the routine in their work. The webinar is one part of the overall training program.
