Consto, one of Norway’s leading construction and civil engineering groups, has selected XtraMile as its new learning platform. With this decision, Consto takes an important step towards consolidating, structuring, and further developing training initiatives across the group.
As part of the collaboration, XtraMile has been in dialogue with HR Director Silje Paulsdatter Peltoperä Moen, Head of Competence Development and the Consto Academy Clas Dale, as well as HR Consultant Inger Amalie Kjosvatn.

Need for better structure in training
A key reason for choosing a new platform was the need for improved structure and overview of training activities. Clas Dale explains that Consto was looking for a solution capable of bringing together the full breadth of training across the group – from onboarding to more comprehensive development programs.
“We want to establish a strong and consistent structure for training across the entire group. This includes everything from how we approach onboarding to more extensive development programs within both leadership and production. Training should be organized holistically within XtraMile’s LMS,” says Dale.
Importance of an intuitive user experience and strong design
XtraMile will be used both to develop and distribute courses to Consto employees. An intuitive user experience and clear structure were therefore important criteria in the selection process.
“It’s about how the dashboard is presented when you log in – it needs to be intuitive, well-structured, and easy for everyone to use,” Dale explains.
One platform for the entire employee journey
Consto plans to use XtraMile across the entire organization and for a wide range of training needs – from onboarding new employees to equipment-specific training and leadership development.
HR Director Silje Paulsdatter Peltoperä Moen explains that XtraMile will play a central role in systematizing training throughout the entire employee journey.
“We are currently mapping all training and development activities linked to the different roles within the organization. These will be categorized by learning format, such as e-learning, and prioritized as either mandatory or recommended. All of this will be consolidated and structured within XtraMile’s LMS,” says Moen.
